There are two things to keep in mind.

 

[ Public holiday ]

August 15 (Tuesday) is considered as public holiday in some parts of Bavaria (Mariä Himmelfahrt). Shops and restaurants may close altogether, and public transport times may change.

 

[ Reduced train operating time ]

The U6 train (U-Bahn) going downtown from the Science Congress Center stops running in the evening.

 

On August 14, 16, and 17, there is no service after around 10:30 PM.

On August 15, there is no service after around 9:00 PM.

 

If your accommodation is close to downtown Munich, please consider traveling time or alternative transportation options.
